Eng. Ahmed El Bakry
Chairman and CEO


Ahmed El Bakry, Mechanical Engineer graduated in June 1987. In Jan 1988, he founded Contact Co., a company specialized in the manufacture & assembles of industrial switches for electrical appliances. In July 1995, he founded Industrial Components Co., a company specialized in the manufacture & assembly of industrial components as heating elements, thermostats & switches for electrical appliances. In June 1998, he founded Delta Foam Co., a Leading Egyptian company specialized in the manufacture of Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) insulation, packaging and decoration items. In Jan 2000, he founded CFI, a company specialized in the Manufacture of cardboard edge, protectors, corrugated sheets based and cardboard pallets. Also manufactures of refrigerators Gaskets made of PVC compound with bacterial and microbial resistance. He joined Olympic Group; a leading group specialized in the manufacture, export & distribution of Household Appliances & consumer electronics in Sept. 2000. In july 2006, he became the CEO & Managing Director of the OG.

Eng. Abdelhamid Mohasseb
Vice President For Technical Operations

 

Abdelhamid Mohasseb, 53 years old, Mechanical Engineer graduated in June 1977. worked as an operation engineer until 1983 in the Arab Petroleum Pipes Lines Company (SUMED). Ain Sukhna Terminal, Red Sea In 1983, he joined Procter & Gamble in the US and Saudi Arabia as a line manager. In 1995 he became the Middle East & Africa Product Supply Director located in Cairo, Egypt until February 2002. In May 2002, he joined Olympic Group as the Vice-president for Technical Operations responsible for all manufacturing plants, group purchasing, localization and after sales services.

Medhat Moustafa Kamel , 53 years old, More than 27 years of experience in Mechanical Equipment, Sales and Marketing Domestic Appliance in both local and Saudi Arabia Markets. Possess high degree of managerial skills and ability to apply scientific methodology sales and marketing functions. Eng. Kamel started his professional career as a sales representative in Mantrac (Caterpiller Dealer – Engines & Generators) then he traveled to Saudi Arabia for One year as a Sales Supervisor in El Zahid Tractors. In 1983 Eng. Kamel joined Mokattam Association (Olympic Group) as the Manager of Mechanical Equipment Dept. In 1986 Eng. Kamel became the Sales Manager of Engineering Products and Agencies Co. (Olympic Group). In 1990 Eng. Kamel was promoted to be a Marketing Director and member of the board as a Vice President and Managing Director for Engineering Products & Agencies Co., EPA, the sole distributor for Olympic Electric and Ideal in both local & international market; furthermore, starting from 2001 he occupied the position of Chief Commercial Officer of the Executive Board in Olympic Group. In June 2004, Eng. Medhat Kamel was assigned to be the Executive Vice President for Commercial Sectors; he is now responsible for Export, Local Sales & R& D.

Mr. Hossam El Mestikawi

Chief Financial Officer













Mr. Hussam El Mestekawy is the current CFO and an executive board member at Olympic Group. He holds a bachelor degree of commerce from Cairo University. Mr. Hussam started his career path as a junior accountant at Shell- Qatar. By 1982, Mr. Hussam moved to Shell Egypt and served as the company treasurer and then held the position of a Deputy Finance Manager. Before joining Olympic Group, Mr. Hussam served as a CFO and an Executive Board Member at Ghabbour Group.

Eng. Wael Gad
Chief Marketing & Direct Sales Officer

Wael Gad, an Electrical Engineer graduated in June 1992 from Alexandria University Faculty of Engineering, Wael joined the Group in April 2005 as the Group Chief Sales Operations Officer, then following a successful total restructure of the Commercial Arm, he was reassigned as a Chief Marketing & Direct Sales Officer responsible for the following sectors; Category & Operational Marketing Sector, Brand & Marketing Communication Sector, Retail & Direct Sales Sector, Research & Development Sector and Supply & Demand Department.

Wael started his career in 1992 as a Sales Engineer in the IT & Telecom industry with a Microsoft & Novel Solution Provider, in 1994 he joined Warner Lambert the global leader in FMCG & Confectionary business as a Marketing Information Manager, and then he moved into Retail & Distribution Industry in 1999 as the Sales & Marketing Manager of the Magrabi Group in KSA.  In 2002 he became the Group Marketing & Merchandize Director managing the GCC & North Africa till he joined Olympic Group in 2005.

Eng. Yasser Zaazou
Chief Human Resources Officer

Eng. Yasser Zaazou, graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Class of 1986. Started his professional career at National Industries Co. Worked for 2 years as Shop floor Engineer, responsible for CNC metal cutting, forming and heat treatment workshops. In 1989, Eng. Yasser moved to the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) where he worked as a Mechanical Planning Engineer at their Arab British Dynamics (ABD) Plant for 2 years. In 1991, he was offered to work in Procter & Gamble (P&G) in Germany at their Engineering Division, Mechanical Design Department then Project Management Dept. In 1998, Eng. Yasser moved back to Egypt with P&G where he managed the project to build the Pampers plant; then managed 4 plants; then become the HR manager. In Aug 2006, he joined Olympic group as the HR director and member of the executive committee. Eng. Yasser is currently a member of the Board of the company Quest for Human Development and Chairman of the Charity group Tamayoz.

Eng. Emad Hangal
Chief Information & Technology Officer

Eng. Emad Hangal holds a Bachelor degree of Electronic and Communication Engineering/ Computer Science from Cairo University class of 1988. He joined his first job as a junior programmer at Systems Research Egypt. Thanks to Eng. Hangal’s dedication and effort along his career path, he moved forward to become the Data Processing Manager at Chromalloy Aeroservices in 1990 taking full responsibility of the IT Project both in Egypt and in the head office at Dallas, Texas. 1992 to 1997 he joined Glaxowellcome pharmaceuticals in Egypt where he contributed to an unprecedented business growth both as Information Technology Manager and as the MRPII Project Manager. By the beginning of 1997 he moved on after Glaxowellcome was transformed from manual to a fully automated and integrated Information System and the organization successfully reached Class “A” MRPII status. Going Forward, Eng. Hangal progressed to a number of senior positions; Information Technology Manager at Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, Applications & Planning Senior Manager at Orascom Telecom Holding, Information Technology Director at Beyti/Yoplait and Chief Information Officer at International Group for Investments (IGI Group). Eng. Hangal has a distinctive experience in mission critical applications, besides having the technical experience required to establish a sound IT Sector. He joined Olympic Group as a Chief Information Officer in November 2007.
